Sayonara Summer!

Hi Friends & Family,

It's September 1st which means summer is over.  Yahoo!  I've decided summer in Kansas is dumb.  It's too bloody hot, there's nothing to do and there are way too many bugs.  Not normal bugs like butterflies and rolly pollies, but really stupid bugs like tics and chiggers.  Bugs that like to find your warm places, make themselves at home and turn you into a scratching lunatic.  I'm looking forward to a bugless, bite free fall.

All that being said, we did have a pretty fantastic summer.  Becoming a mom was obviously the single most amazing event that has occurred in my life, but moving to a hassle free condo has also been a very nice change.  Jameson still travels constantly, but at least now when he's home we get to enjoy each other instead of spending all our time maintaining the yard, fixing quirky old house stupidness and making trips to Home Depot.  Jameson is finally able to spend some quality time with his first true love, the guitar, and we are all able to take frequent trips to the dog park which makes Scout a very happy puppy.

So Claire is amazing.  Not just regular baby amazing, but really truly rock star amazing.  This little one has been sleeping through the night since she was 6 weeks old.  She has never been sick, she eats like a champ and she's the cutest thing since baby red panda bears.  She smiles on cue and turns on the charm for every stranger we encounter.  Being Claire's mom is the greatest job in the universe.
